Establish a Sustainable Ecological City
【Questions and Suggestions】
In Taipei's "eco-city" plan, we can see that there is considerable emphasis on water resources utilization and ecological river construction. For explame, reduce waste water pollution, improve ecological restoration, rainwater recycling, reduce flooding, river landscaping and beautification. The plan not only makes full use of water resources, but also improves the quality of life. Hope to achieve the goal of “close to water to protect water.” Finally, we hope that the government can step up its pace as soon as possible. After all, global warming is deteriorating. In addition, for wastewater reuse, we think it is possible to learn about the technology of transforming sewage into natural gas and fertilizer in the city of Malmo, Sweden: sewage from the urban area flows into sewage treatment plants through underground waterways for division, Biogas produced by the fermentation of water produces natural gas after being purified; another plant is designed to recycle and reuse nutrients in phosphorus and other nutrients in wastewater to create fertilizers and reduce ecological damage.
In order to transform the Tamsui River that adapts to the climate change into a hydrophilic space that can be used for fishing and playing water, we should increase the use of reclaimed water and rainwater and reduce the leakage and the construction of sanitary sewer so that all sewage is treated and discharged. At the same time, take use of the characteristics of the highland of the Tamsui River to purify the river by ecological methods. Hope to double purify the river and make the water area full of life.
In order to reduce the impact of heavy rain, green streets with permeable and water storage functions can be constructed to collect the rainwater of streets, bridges and sidewalks. In accordance with the counter-measures of total urban water control in Taipei City, we improve a certain percentage of water permeable area and water retention volume.
With clean water, we can really achieve the goal of creating a hydrophilic environment. To adjust the urban climate by rehabilitating the rivers of Sulfur Creek, Liugong Waterway and Eight Immortals Waterway, and reviewing the existing riverside parks with excessive artificial facilities, setting up cross-embankment facilities so that the public can get close to the water for recreational activities on the water.
