Establish a Sustainable Ecological City

Eco-city Blueprint

Energy

【Questions and Suggestions】

In Taipei's "eco-city" plan, we can see that the government focused on developing green energy, saving energy consumption of businesses, homes and motorcycles, reducing electricity used by businesses and households and the number of cars and scooters, Hope to reduce the emissions of dioxane, and reduce the harm to the natural environment. The development of green energy is an important mainstream for the eco-city in the future. However, the government set up solar photovoltaic energy sources for various buildings, parks and green squares but implemented them on an incentive rather than a material basis. If we want to reach universalization in the future, it may not be easy. In addition, we think that we should set up recycle bins in the community for various waste types, for example, recycling of kitchen waste, rubbish and cooking oil as compost, feedstuff or biomass energy. Domestic waste can be properly disposed of and used to transform the waste into resources. In the future, we hope that the government will step up efforts to enhance the efficiency of green energy utilization and hope to help communities develop green energy so as to achieve a complete "Energy-saving and carbon reduction" eco-blueprint.

Carbon Reduction and Love the Earth

In Taipei, the largest share of greenhouse gas emissions from the residential and transport sectors is the most critical and most in need of improvement.

In respect of the business sector, we consider "saving first and then regenerating." Encourage the conservation of electricity, promote green building, encourage the linkage of regional energy in large office areas, encourage the installation of solar photovoltaic energy and continuously improve the efficiency of incineration, biogas power generation and hydroelectric power generation in the periphery of the city and set up the Renewable Energy Industrial Park to engage in research and development of new energy sources, including the possibility of using geothermal energy Datuk Mountain and other new energy sources. Government departments should start first and lead all enterprises and citizens to jointly reduce carbon emissions.

In the transport sector, taking "first reduction after substitution" as consideration, apart from promoting mass transport, encouraging walking and cycling, some parts of old vehicles should also be renewed to encourage trade-in. Achieve a zero-emission vision by developing alternative transport and clean energy fuels.
