In order to meet the needs of life and economic development, human beings ignore the importance of the environment in the process of development and seriously affect the ecology and trigger the earth's crisis, such as global warming, acid rain, ozone depletion and climate anomalies. With the continuous development of science and technology and the uncontrolled consumption and excessive development of human beings, ecological problems have become more complex and complicated. Due to the rapid population growth, mankind must constantly expand living space, cut down the forest and build houses and increase production, and all consume most of the earth's resources.

Once the ecological environment overloaded, perhaps it will never be restored, which means that our future life will face a serious test. Therefore, we must rethink how we should abandon the unwise life and improper development of the land, avoid damaging the natural ecology again and balance the human life with the ecological environment. This is our responsibility and obligation as a member of the Earth. How to make a city into a sustainable ecological city, which is an important issue of urban development. Because of the limited natural environment in a city, in order to reduce the continuous consumption of resources and to sustain its sustainable development, many countries have started to plan for the development of eco-cities.

Taiwan's land is small but its population is huge. Population concentration in urban areas is getting more and more serious. In particular, Taipei City is even more serious. Urban expansion endanger the ecological environment. Therefore, we re-think urban development does no longer just focus on human needs, but instead takes environmental protection and ecological conservation into consideration, and then balance the human and nature. Our research theme is based on sustainable development, and thinks about the current crisis of the earth, mankind and urban development. We hope this study can awaken the concept of cherishing the Earth's resources, protecting the environment and implementing a sustainable environment, and finally all the human can jointly create a healthy and comfortable living environment.
