The Earth is Sick with High Fever, Human Beings and the Ecology are Affected

In the past, we can see green mountains and rivers everywhere in Taiwan. But with the continuous progress of civilization and the surging population, the natural environment is constantly being sacrificed. Ecological environment is getting worse; the pollution is increasing; the traffic has become more crowded; the quality of living is reducing. Those all put the city people in danger. When we look back, we discover that the beautiful streams are turned into stinky ditches, farms are turned into buildings, polluted air is what we are breathing now. Is this the price we want to pay?

Let the Earth Have a Breathing Space

Over-concentration of population in urban areas poses some problems for the environment, but these problems can be solved if we can timely re-awaken and adopt the appropriate policies and measures. Although our beautiful hometown is sick, we still have medicine to cure. We should have a sustainable prescription for our hometown: such as to advocate energy conservation, to strengthen ecological and to do environmental protection, to recycle resource and so on. Therefore, if we hope the future development of the city is not only based on people but also take the environment as its priority, we should achieve a balance between development of human and ecological environment.
