A. How to monitor the incineration of waste and waste, the exhaust emissions?

Answer: Professionals monitor exhaust emissions on a daily basis and regularly monitor the discharge of pollutants from stationary sources. Continuous monitoring equipment is provided for 24-hour continuous monitoring of hydrogen chloride (HCl), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx) Carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), ammonia (NH3), water content (H2O), opacity and particulate pollutants nine. In addition, the values of air pollutants will also be transmitted to the display panel in the hall of our management building and to the website of our factory so that people can know the emission situation.

B. How do incinerators reduce their impact on human health and the natural environment when incinerating wastes?

Answer: There are four procedures to deal with the exhaust emissions, so that pollution is minimized. The first is the soot equipment: the soot in the exhaust gas will be treated by the electrostatic precipitator to remove suspended particulates; the second is hydrogen chloride: the hydrogen chloride in the exhaust gas will be neutralized by spraying sodium hydroxide through the wet scrubber; the third is induced draft fan: the exhaust gas generated after combustion, to the scrubber, and finally discharged to the atmosphere through the chimney.

C. How to use renewable energy generated by burning garbage?

Answer: Our factory has waste heat recovery power generation facilities. The waste heat will be converted into electrical energy to provide to the factory use, and the remaining energy will be sold to Taiwan Power Company. In addition, every day, we have reclaimed food waste, which is then made into feedstuffs and fertilizers through equipment to be regularly collected by the public.

D. Since the promotion of garbage in Taipei City, with the bag collection, kitchen waste classification and resource recovery, Does the number of wastes have decreased?

Answer: Since the promotion of garbage collection, the classification of kitchen waste and the recycling of resources in Taipei, the amount of rubbish has been significantly reduced. According to the statistics of 2016, the daily amount of rubbish was 2970 tons, and now the amount of rubbish reduced 66.32% to about 1000 tons.
