Eco-city Environment


In the part of ecological environment, it focuses on urban greening, urban environment and environmental governance. The main purpose is to evaluate the natural ecological resources and the living environment of the urban environment. With the protection and optimization of biological habitats, the stability and diversity of urban ecology can be effectively enhanced. As the main body of the eco-city is the government department, the promotion and implementation of the concept of eco-city should be assessed by the government budget and the implementation of the policy.

Urban Greening


A. Green coverage rate
The city needs enough green space to maintain the integrity of the ecosystem in the city. It is an important part of the urban life-support system. Using green coverage as an indicator to detect urban green space, green roofs, green garden or forest Area and so on. The higher the green coverage rate, the stronger the ecological adjustment capacity of the city. The higher the integrity of the ecological support system is, and the more it will contribute to the realization of the sustainable eco-city vision.

B. Average public green area per person
Public green area includes parks, children's parks, green spaces and other places. Park has the function of flood control and storage. Urban Environment



A. Degree of urbanization
The degree of urbanization is the proportion of urban development land to total urban area, including residential area, commercial area, industrial area, administrative area, cultural and educational area, and public facilities. Such destruction of the environment is not conducive to the sustainable development of the city.

C. The length of over moderately polluted river ratio
The length of serious polluted rivers in urban river can reflect the general situation of urban living environment and ecological environment quality as well as the effectiveness of river water quality management. The main reason for water pollution in Taiwan's rivers is that they do not have good waste water treatment measures, which results in improper discharge of domestic, and industrial and aquaculture wastewater or improper land use across the river banks and water conservation areas result in deterioration of river water quality and affect the living space of aquatic animals and plants. D. Air pollution

According to the study by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, if the PSI value is more than 100 days, it will endanger human health and also deteriorate the quality of living environment, resulting in the load on the urban ecological environment and not conducive to the development of eco-cities.

E. Noise pollution
The higher the noise pollution index value, the poorer the quality of urban living environment, the greater the burden of ecological environment purification capacity.

A. Sewage treatment rate

C. Resource recovery rate

The main purpose of eco-engineering is to reduce the burden on the environment caused by the project. Its engineering materials and construction methods on the environment load is low. It seeks to achieve a balance between engineering and ecological aspects. Therefore, the higher the frequency of using eco-method, the higher biomass the city has and the lower burden on urban environment.
