A. Are there any difficulties in planning, designing and constructing green buildings?

Answer: Yes. In fact, the exhibition hall needs a large space to provide manufacturers to display, but they also need to take the green building standards into account, such as resource recovery system, double insulated glass, energy monitoring system, rainwater recycling system, green area, which will take up a lot of internal space. And the cost of green buildings even higher than the traditional buildings, mainly due to the small number of people who use energy-saving building materials, it can not be manufactured in large quantities to reduce costs. Nevertheless, we continue to overcome and gain government support. We hope that green building will be trend of architecture.

B. Is there a dedicated unit or staff to manage the energy-saving facilities in the museum and monitor the energy-saving carbon reduction?

Answer: Sure! Water, electricity, air conditioning and recycling have a dedicated unit and personnel management, and will regularly view and repair. In addition, the museum uses a variety of monitoring technologies and energy-saving measures to establish an on-site energy audit through timely information collection. Through the effective energy-saving management and energy-saving equipment, we have reached a sustainable green building.

C. Maintenance and management of green building facilities will result in increased costs or not?

Answer: Sure! A lot of equipments need to comply with the international standards of green building, in line with the standards we can get the green building logo, so we have to bet on some of the costs, because environmentally friendly building materials are more expensive, and it also need to send regular cleaning and maintenance. But from the long-term point of view of energy saving and carbon reduction and global environmental protection, it is worth it.

D. Nangang Exhibition Hall is Taiwan's first green building exhibition hall, and set a good example for public works. Does there any other engineering unit come to learn since opening?

Answer: On the website, there are scheduled visits and arrangements for full-time staff to introduce how the hall can issue the green building mark issued by the Ministry of the Interior and arrange guided tours of the wastewater treatment, natural lighting, ventilation and ventilation lines, air conditioning, space design and building materials Use, etc., to allow visiting units to know the most environmentally friendly green energy concept. Therefore, we hope that the exchange of experience of visiting will allow more buildings to become low carbon green buildings.

E. Is there any facility need to strengthen and improve?

Answer: Since we got the green building mark in 2003, we have to maintain seven green building indicators. If there is any deficiencies, we need to improve immediately. All these require regular inspections and maintenance by professionals. Therefore, we have to constantly strengthen our manpower resources. In addition, it is a exhibition hall, and often crowded with people, so it needs to beware of safety and the amount of carbon dioxide.
