A. Why can Jingmei Store become the first green store in Taipei?

Answer: When the EPD started to promote green stores, our company actively cooperated with it. In addition to the sale of environmental protection, energy saving, water conservation, green building materials and other standard products, we still achieve other three conditions, the green products location are marked, resource recovery facilities are set up, and the resource recovery, environmental protection, enterprise energy saving are fully implemented. Finally, after the review by the Environmental Protection Agency, we become first green store.


B. How many items are green goods divided into?

Answer: From the original dozens of species, now our store has been increased to more than 500 kinds of items, including electrical appliances, cleaning agents, stationery paper, organic products, so that consumers can buy a shop at a time.


C. Is there any activity to promote green products?

Answer: We set up a green zone in the store, attracting consumers with cheap prices while promoting environmental knowledge. In addition, in order to encourage people to buy green products, the store promotes eco-collection activities. First, people apply for Happy Go cards. If they choose eco-friendly products over 100 dollars, they will show a Happy Go Card at checkout desk to collect 1 point, 20 points can enjoy 10 dollars green merchandise cash coupons and so on.


D. How to display green products?

Answer: First of all, we will promote green products and discount coupons at the DM, advertising wall, and clearly mark and set the obvious signs in the sales area so that customers can see clearly and quickly find green products. In addition, we also set up green product zones in particular to provide more diversified green products and regularly lower the selling prices of goods so that customers are more willing to purchase green products.


E. How much is the consumer's purchase rate and acceptance of green products?

Answer: Now people's awareness of environmental protection is rising, the majority of the purchase of goods will give priority to environmental protection, energy saving, water conservation, recycling related products. The current highpurchase rate is energy-saving light bulbs, energy-saving appliances and so on.  


F. What are the future goals of promoting green stores to continue?

Answer: In order to let all employees have the concept of green, they have to take regular education and training and related lectures. The goal is to internalize the concept of green marketing into the company's business philosophy. Take Dazhi Sore as an example, this year's betting training hour has reached 434.5 hours, with an estimated 40% increase next year. Far Eastern Amart said that green products, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines most popular. However, in the case of Dazhi single store, the cost of purchasing green products this year reached as high as 2.64 million, accounting for more than 6% of the total purchase cost. It is estimated that over 4 million dollars will be available next year, reaching 11% of the total purchase cost of the store. In the future, we will increase the proportion of green products every year in every store.

In line with the government's promotion of energy conservation and carbon reduction and green consumption, it’s not only responding to the current hot environmental issues, but also bringing great business opportunities to stores. We hoped that in the future more and more shops will be able to cope with the government's policy of promoting green stores. Far Eastern Amart had won the Executive Yuan EPA "Green Marketing Award" for three consecutive years. In order to promote environmental protection, we not only strengthen the introduction of green products, internal staff training, but also replace energy-consuming products. According to statistics, in the first half of this year, the average utilization of water, electricity and other energy sources in the store decreased by nearly 10% as compared with the same period of last year. The total weight of cartons recovered increased by 62%. In addition, the energy-saving lamps were completely phased in and are expected to significantly reduce public 5-6% of business expenses, to enhance the profit to Far Eastern Amart.
